Loch Ness Marathon 2025

Charity places are now available for the Loch Ness Marathon, taking place on Sunday 28th September 2025.

The Baxters Loch Ness Marathon is quite possibly one of the most stunning marathons in the world. With spectacular scenery, fantastic atmosphere and a truly memorable experience – it’s no wonder it is on the bucket list for so many runners from around the world.

The Route

You’ll run along the length of Loch Ness through the surrounding leafy countryside to finish in Inverness, the capital of the Highlands. The point-to-point course is a net downhill route (though with a couple of challenging uphills!), so it’s good for those chasing a personal best. With all year to train, now is the perfect time to sign up for the challenge.

How to sign up:

For just a small registration fee, you can take up your charity place with Scottish Mountain Rescue at the Loch Ness Marathon:

Full Marathon – Registration fee £40, Minimum sponsorship amount £250

Contact us on fundraising@scottishmountainrescue.org to apply for a Scottish Mountain Rescue charity place at the Loch Ness Marathon 2024. Once your application has been received, we will be in touch to process your registration fee and provide you with a Scottish Mountain Rescue T-shirt or running vest and fundraising support.
