• The promoter of this competition is Scottish Mountain Rescue whose registered office is at Glenmore Lodge, Glenmore, Aviemore, PH22 1QZ 
• The competition is open to all residents of the United Kingdom. 
• The age limit for this promotion is as appears on the SMR post. 
• The closing date for entries is as stated on the SMR post.  Any entries received and after the closing of the competition will be invalid and will not be entered into the competition. 
• The winner will be announced any time after the promotion has finished. 
  

Prize: 

• The prize is as set out on the SMR post.  
• The prize is non-transferable, and no cash or credit alternative will be substituted for the prize on offer. 
• In the event that the prize offered is unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value.
  
• If the prize is not claimed within 6 weeks of the competition closing, SMR will  draw another name from the entries received.

The personal information we collect about you will mainly be used by our staff (and volunteers) at Scottish Mountain Rescue so that they can support you.

• Where we engage a third party to deliver a service on our behalf (for example mail chimp or survey monkey), only required data will be shared. This will be in line with data protection legislation. They will hold your information securely and retain it for the period we instruct. 
• Where you have chosen to share your story to help further our work and you have given your explicit consent we may share sensitive information in materials promoting our services or fundraising work or in specific documents. 
• We may be required to share personal data with statutory or regulatory authorities to comply with statutory obligations. 
• In circumstances other than those noted above, Scottish Mountain Rescue will not share your information with any other organisation for marketing, market research, fundraising or commercial purposes. 

How long we retain your data
We will endeavour to keep your information accurate and up to date and not keep it for longer than is necessary. Once you no longer need our services we are legally required to keep records for a certain amount of time depending on the type of data that we hold. After this time, we will securely destroy it according to our records retention and disposal procedures. Please contact us for further information on our retention periods. 

What rights you have over your data
You have a right to: 

• Request to see the personal information we hold about you (We may require proof of identity before we provide you with this information or make changes). 
• Request that inaccurate information about you be corrected.

• Unsubscribe from email communications – if you no longer wish to receive email communications from us. You can do this by clicking on the ‘unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of our email communication.
