In an emergency call 999 and ask for Police then Mountain Rescue
‘’We were delighted to be chosen as one of the charities EY supported last year. We were nominated by the Edinburgh office and were incredibly grateful to work alongside them last year as they supported Scottish Mountain Rescue. Staff from EY Edinburgh Office, took part in fundraising events including the Edinburgh Marathon, a Christmas raffle and in-office fundraisers, as well as helping Scottish Mountain Rescue with some of our admin tasks and supporting our events. We were also delighted to attend and give a talk to staff in the Edinburgh Office about our work and they even got to meet our search dog, Poppy.
We wanted to say a very big thank you to everyone at EY for supporting us and raising an amazing total of £6,502!’’
‘’Hiking has been a big part of my life ever since I was 10 years old, when my parents took me up my first Munro (Cairn Gorm) in typical Scottish conditions consisting of wind, low visibility, and horizontal hail. My ventures into the mountains since then, quite often in conditions comparable to that first experience on Cairn Gorm, have given me a deep appreciation of the work Scottish Mountain Rescue do. While out and about in the Highlands, it is a reassuring and humbling thought that there is always a highly skilled team of volunteers ready to assist should something unfortunate happen – whatever the weather. I am glad that we at EY in Edinburgh have been able to assist in raising funds for them over the last year!’’
